Light of my life

I'm not a huge ice cream fan, never have been. In fact I'm much more of a savoury foods person in general. Chocolate, lollies and sweets hold very little sway in my gastronomic choices. There is however one type of ice cream which I am prepared to wax lyrical about as it holds a very special place in my heart. Rainbow Paddlepops. Let the afore mentioned lyrically waxing begin. (Does that last sentence even make any sense? I think not but love has blinded me and so I shall continue regardless.)

In my opinion Rainbow Paddlepops are the greatest icecream in the world. Like I said I'm not so keen on ice cream in general but there was a time (a few months ago) that I was eating at least 3 of these guys a day (that's not a hyperbole I actually was but I had to stop because my jeans were getting too tight). They are a flavour everyone loves but the crazy thing is they are not a proper flavour. 'Rainbow' is not a flavour it just describes a bunch of crazy colours, I suspect the flavouring is a mix of vanilla and caramel but I love the mystery of not really knowing. Not everyone likes strawberry or banana and I think Rainbow Paddlepops are a fresh change from chocolate and vanilla. They have been around for quite a few years now and for me there's quite a bit of nostalgia attached to them. Paddlepops remind me of hot Australian summers at the beach or after a great barbecue in the backyard. They are one of those things from childhood that have gotten better and more enjoyable over time.

I really think Rainbow Paddlepops are the best ice cream and I think you'd have to be crazy to disagree
